I am just going to buy them both since I know I will end up hitting up Mounds, St Helens, etc this year.

Will I need any other permits?

Looking forward to this. Leaving my JK stock didn't happen. I didn't want to be the guy with the stock jeep and questionable tires. I upgraded to 285/70/17's and swapped my stock springs (14/56) and shocks to stiffer springs off a JKU Rubi (18/59) and rubicon shocks.

Planning on making a day of this and driving up Saturday morning. Is there a gas station close to the morning meeting spot?

Thanks! Looking forward to this

The closest gas station would be the beacon and bridge.. On the corner of Old 27 and 612. That's the Frederick exit.
No other permits required.

Anyone who is planning on wheeling Friday night, remember that isn't included in the DNR free weekend. Only Sat and Sun although I don't anticipate any issues.

Also, We were up there yesterday wheeling. Very little mud but the dust was pretty bad.

Got a nice route planned for the trail ride but there was a lot of dust. Hopefully we get some rain before then however the report is not calling for much.

There was some mosquitos as well so remember to bring bug spray!

I want to remind everyone that we are leaving at 9AM for the trail ride. Do not show up at 9AM.

It was dusty out there this past weekend for sure! Looking forward to meeting some jeep enthusiasts!

We'll be leaving early Sat. morning from Fowlerville if anyone wants to convoy (we trailer ours north).

Thanks, just trying to decide if I want to drive to my parents in Kalkaska first to unload or just leave my truck and trailer at the truck stop in Grayling. We'll being staying at their place up there Saturday night and heading back Sunday morning unfortunately. We'd like to go to St. Helen Sunday but with a short weekend for me time doesn't allow.

We toured the Jordan Valley, Kalkaska and Williamsburg area this past weekend. Awesome and surprisingly hardly any traffic on the trails. We didn't get too crazy as I don't have a winch yet and we were out alone. Hope to have my winch on by the fourth of July if time allows.

The convoy times from Grand Rapids and Flint on Friday were removed from the schedule. Is there still going to be a convoy or is everyone just heading up separately?

I tried to get some local people to organize the convoys and could not find anyone to lead them. It seems that time conflicts kept coming up as well. I will already be up in Grayling to run final route check so I wont be able to do them.

If someone from east or west side wants to organize one feel free to do so.

Anyone heading up from the Grand Rapids area have room for a tag along on the ride up and back?
I'm meeting up with people once there I'm just unable to drive up myself. I would obviously throw down for gas!
