Well not good news, got a very nice front clip for the truck couldn't get the thing to line up at all come to find out my frame rail on the passenger side is tweeked, makes me sick to think about but might stop the project and part it out, because I'd have to tear the whole truck down to the frame and try the straighten the frame and then there's no guarantees

If you took that to a frame shop they could straighten that thing without tearing apart. It would be crazy to part it out after all that work.

Been awhile since I posted any progress on ol sarge after finding out about the frame being twisted its now all straightened out boxed in the frame finished the tranny cross member ended up cutting off all the leaf spring mounts and redoing them with factory mounts looks cleaner and running 4 inch lift springs in the front hoping to get off work early enough to go get new u-bolts then I'm hoping to have to motor and tranny back in by next week hopefully I'm back on track now and kinda glad I didn't give up on the whole project

Here's a pic of sarge and my brothers mud truck we call nuttinspecial lol

that thing is pretty sweet. IMO I would have left the body lift off it.

if you are actually towing stuff you would appreciate it being lower. But, to each there own.

it looks sweet. wish I had the time to do a project like this!

I wasn't planning on a body lift but after I got the motor and tranny in it the tranny was hitting the floor because it was 2wd I was going to just put a 2 inch body lift but it was cheaper to buy a 3 but I did keep all the 1ton rear springs and stuff plus I have a set of airbag's for it if I need them,

I'm thinking about keeping it two tone but moving the line up more so black on the top and silver on the bottom but thinking about doing a flag or an airbrushed picture on the back of it

Sorry been working alot of hours but have came along ways on ol sarge, but its almost done, I have drove it a couple times but still need to do gears in the front axle hook up my boost gauge and pyrometer, and a little body work and paint I also had to move my blinkers down to the bumper because they no longer fit in the grill cause of the monster intercooler but changed color too I going to be painting it white with some type of stripe in a flat black or gray I got bored one day and made a nice diff cover for the rear with some stuff I had laying around, tranny switches are wired, grid heater is working but can't wait to drive it

That does sit pretty tall doesn't it! I like looking at lifted duallies, but I got so tired of trying to get things out of the toolbox, I couldn't bring myself to lift my current truck.

Looks great, I dig these square Chevy trucks.

Thanks guys, its been a lot of work for sure I like the stance of it, it is pretty tall its got 7 inches of lift but if I get sick of it I'll probably pull the 4 inches out of it I have to keep the body lift for now because of it originally being 2 WD but I'm happy with it so far and it drives good for a big truck
