Default Partzilla.com review. I would not purchase from them.

First off, this company either stocks little, or no parts. They are a middle man who orders the parts from the manufacturer when you place the order. No problem with this, as long as they give honest ship times.

Ordered some parts from partzilla.com on January 16th, was quoted a two day ship time from partzilla to me, the order would ship out on January 21st. No problem, that means I will have the parts delivered on the 23rd.

The website stated the parts would ship out on the 21st and arrive on the 23rd.
The email states they would ship out on the 21st, and arrive on the 23rd

I check tracking today (23rd) and notice they have still not shipped out. When I called them out on their shady tactics, offered to pay for over night shipping, they cancelled my order. I'm, thinking they still didn't have the parts in and were just buying time. Here is the chat transcript:

You have been connected to Shannon R..
Shannon R.: Hi **** ******, I see you would like to check on the status of your order# *** ; Billing Email: ****s@****.com; Billing Zip Code: *****. Please hold while I review your order.
Shannon R.: Your parts have arrived and your order is in the process of being packaged for shipment. This order should ship around 7 PM EST when FedEx comes for pickup. Once the tracking number is assigned to the order, you should receive a system generated email with that information.
Me: Are you certain it is shipping today? I placed the order on the 16th because it stated it would ship on the 21st.
Shannon R.: That was the expected ship date provided to us as the expected date for your parts to arrive into our warehouse, by the manufacturer but all of your parts have made it in. There is no reason that this order shouldn't ship out today.
Me: Ok. According to my email, and the order status when I ordered clearly states this:
Me: Your order is scheduled to ship Tuesday, January 21, 2014
Scheduled to Ship Tuesday Jan 21, 2014
Me: If that is really the dates that they are shipped by your warehouse to you, you should change the wording. I am not going to have my parts by the trip we were planning on this weekend, all because of this misleading sales tactics.
Me: This was my first purchase from partzilla, I normally use rocky mountain or dennis kirk, Not a good way to keep return customers.
Shannon R.: Not from our warehouse, from the manufacturer's warehouse to us. I apologize that you are not satisfied. You may have our parts in time still. You are in the 2 business day range from us.
Me: Do you see what I mean with this, this is a cut/paste from the order window on your website, and the email I received:
Me:
Thank you for your recent order at partzilla.com!
Your order is scheduled to ship Tuesday, January 21, 2014
Me: I am also willing to pay the overnight charge to have these parts tomorrow.
Shannon R.: I understand.
Shannon R.: My Supervisor is having the order cancelled for you.

Shannon R.: You should see your refund within 4 business days.
Me: thank you. I'll be sure to leave reviews on my experience! At least the cancellation was easy. I'm surprised there was no offer to correct the mistake.
Me: oh well, live and learn.
Shannon R.: You are very welcome.

Partzilla.com sounds like a poorly ran business.

That sucks. Nothing worse than missing a trip due to BS delivery times.

No soup for partzilla.com

It's the equivalent of going to weingartz. Yes, they have the stuff in stock, but it sucks paying 70% more. I'm going to end up buying the stuff local, with a huge price markup. Oh well, learned my lesson about partzilla.com

What do you buy at weingartz? They are cheaper than online for all the parts I buy. But I am buying commercial stuff. They own the distribution channels for some companies too, like snowex which most other suppliers in the area gave up on selling because they couldnt touch their pricing.

It can be anything from an edger blade, to a carb rebuild kit for my wheel horse, to an air filter for my simplicity. They are 20% ABOVE msrp for kohler engine parts. Online is typically 30% under. It's great when I need something fast, but if I have time, I order online.

Perfect example, last week I swung into weingartz for a cutting blade, control lever and cable, edge sliders, drive belt, and two extra shear pins for my MTD snowblower. $228. I bought everything online for $110. The lady behind the counter said $8.50 per shear pin with a straight face.

Damn ill have to check from now on with kohler parts. Everytime ive checked other things it was too close or less to bother with online. And with edger blades theirs are hardened where alot of other guys arent (makes a huge difference) I buy bulk in their spring sale each year I think its less than a buck a blade for 50. They also have my kohker engine torn aprt for heads right now so guess ill be checking what new ones are goin for online and might just do it myself

I'm sorry to hear about your bad luck with partzilla.com. Hopefully partzilla.com can get this straightened around before others have trouble with partzilla.com.

False...magics in pontiac has great prices, in fact they are right around online prices. now buying stuff from motor city cycle, then yes I would say that's like weingartz

I'm basing my opinion off a single helmet purchase from magic. $439 in store and $280 online. I'll give them another shot

I have never been impressed with magics pricing on stuff. Used to deliver to them when I worked at MTA with strangler. Prices weren't crazy but not great. They have a huge selection though. Plus where I live its too far of a drive.
