Default Fire in your area?

Do fires get published online anywhere?

I'm talking about smaller fires that don't make the news. Is there a place to look them up online by city or county?

You should be able to find a 911 log for your county. Depending on what you want to know that might help. I know our log is in the paper.

I hear and see fire trucks run past my house a few times per week. I was just curious if FD's typically publish their runs anywhere that the public can look up.

With the fire departments and EMS usually being combined and both responding to the same calls in most towns these days, I'd say the vast majority of runs you see and hear are for medical and not actual fires.

Trust me, when I have my fire, it's making the 6 and 11 o'clock news.

So FD's run medical calls with their ladder truck? Seems wasteful.

Get a scanner app for your phone. Radio reference is a computer based one. When I am home, I almost always have it on. Wife hates it, and does not understand why I always want it on.

I got that app. Discovered I really didn't want to know what was going on in my area.

Until while they're out on a first responder call and your house lights up. You want them to then drive back to the firehouse in the suburban get the truck and THEN drive the truck to your house to come to your aid? Or you want them to drive directly there? There are different levels of response for different things, bottom line being that to save lives there's only a small window, and to respond in that window you need whoever is closest to get their ass there. Regardless of what vehicle they're in. And considering that your average ambulance ride costs $2000, its probably not THAT wasteful of your "tax dollars at work." But yes, if you would like im sure you can call the firestations non-emergency number and they'll direct you where to get your print out of calls.
