Default transfer tank info wanted

i need a new way to get fuel.....more capacity at a time so i have decided a transter tank is in order. problem is that i want to move diesel in the winter and gasoline in the summer. am i going to have an issue? i know that when they are "empty" they really arnet, and i dont want to tun into a problem mixing a couple of gals of diesel with a full tank if gas and via-versa.

will a couple of gals mixed per a full tank be a problem? (i think it would)

can it be syphoned out good enough before switching? (experience of such is sought)

anyone got a better idea other than getting 2 tanks?

Send a message via Yahoo to MonkeyBiz

Slowly fill a 80Gal garbage bag with it in the tank. Remove bag when you want to switch fuel?

Buy two tanks. I have just a diesel tank and all my gas I just keep in gas cans. It would prolly not be worth the effort. Get smaller tanks to justify cost if needed. It seems like you would always need the fuel you don't have. Just my .02 but do what ya want.

I would assume just put a drain in it. We never switched fuels in the tanks I ran but I know they didn't require much to prime so the amount left in the pump and line is minimal.
