Every 7 or 8 minutes I hear a huge "SNAP". Kind of cool. I thought my backyard was a mess until I saw my neighbors house. Elm trees do not appear to be that stout

My garage door broke, so my car is in the driveway with a think layer of ice on it. When I let my dog out, he ate it almost immediately. I tried to warn him.

How do you warn a dog about ice?

I said "hey you fat fucker, its slick outside, be careful". He did not heed to my warning. He trotted out the front door barking at something. As soon as he got off the covered porch, he looked liked a fool.

Power went off and on about a dozen times this morning but everything is normal now. Lots of branches down in my backyard but luckily nothing near the house.

I'm about to take my generator to my grandparents house in Clarkston which means I will lose power shortly after I'm sure. Haha

Just got back from my dad's house. Lots of branches down but it's cool to see all the ice on the trees. Watching the DTE energy map, things appear to be getting worse in Northern Oakland County, Lapeer, etc.

Decent layer of ice on everything in Fowlerville. I heard some branches break/fall early this morning but can't find anything down. Power is still on, but had gone off at some point between 7pm and 3am when we were gone. It went out for less than 30 seconds where we were at in Hartland too. Roads got a little slick but really weren't very bad at all, even at almost 3am. As long as the power stays on I'll be happy. Good day to lay on the couch watching Christmas movies.

For some reason, as it is thawing, it is making it worse. Branches are falling at a higher rate. Had the whole yard cleaned up with the chainsaw, and now there is more down then when I woke up.

I was just out trying to clean up when another branch fell in the same spot. Needless to say I'll wait this one out.
