Default RTR RC Crawler under $200

Curious what you guys would go with for a casual RC crawler RTR under $200

I am looking at the Exceed Max Crawler (http://www.nitrorcx.com/1scexrcmadcr.html)
Also considering the Redcat RS10 (http://www.hobbytron.com/RedcatRacin...ckCrawler.html)

The problem with the brands like that is there is next to no parts support. I realize it is a crawler and won't break as often but, if you want to upgrade or replace parts you're going to have a hard time getting parts.

I would spend a bit more and get an Axial crawler.

I guess I should have elaborated. It is really nice to be able to walk in to your local hobby shop and get parts. With these you would need to order parts online. I haven't used either one of these to say which one might be better.

I have looked into crawlers ALOT but haven't bought one yet. I am probably going to buy a Wraith for my son/me this spring. I would rather spend another 200 and have a bad ass rig. Just looking at the shocks, axles, and ground clearance on the ones you posted they just look cheap. Plus there are tons of upgrades and aftermarket parts for wraiths.

My .02

but if you're okay with spending less than $200, but not okay with spending $400 on something you'll break out to keep your cool about only working on projects... what would you go with.

I'm i'm spending $400 on a RC crawler, I'm just gonna spend it on my rig or boat.. or quad... or jeep... or tow pig.

I'm not sure if that exceed sits high enough to clear those tires.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...Rock-Buggy-Kit

Add a 55t axial motor, 3s lipo, rx/tx, and a capable speed controller your good to go.

... and then I'm into it for a lot more than I wanted it to be

I'm leaning pretty hard towards the Redcat, minimal investment, so I don't feel too bad if I don't use it as much as I'd like to.

I'm surprised steen hasnt posted yet. He bought a redcat rs and when you switch tires out it does pretty well. Stock tires blow and you can fully adjust suspension for ride height. Plus it has stock 4ws

With different tires I would put it against any wraith, it beats my sc10s and is very close if not better than the losi night crawler

Thank you for your input.

I did manage to find some writeups on the redcat, I noticed that with the tires.

Looks like I might have a new toy to annoy my wife with indoors

Haven't had an RC car in over 10 years, so I don't have any RC anything. I figured I could fart around with it.

I know my dad and grandpa would like to play around with an rc crawler too
