Good thing I planned on updating the interior. Love the "FML" carving in the back of the seat...

Absolutely rock solid cab corners

So either they ran out of rattle can black at this point, or they were out of dope by this point. Who decided to call it good here??? lol...

In this case, I have two paint jobs in mind. It will be dependent on availability of parts (hard to explain)...

Default this weekend

I am hoping to get the donor truck fired up this weekend and beginning to plot how this will take place. More pictures to come.

6-8 years ago, my beloved Cadillac STS was totaled and I was left with a large check via the insurance company. What do I replace my beloved car with?

A quick look in the Michigan Auto and RV revealed to me my next "Cadillac", a Cowboy Cadillac to be exact. A 1978 F250 Crew Cab. A guy in the Door, MI area had a son who was a moto cross up start, and they had just bought a new bike for him, then lost a sponsor, so they were stuck with the bike bill.

So I bought their beloved hauler, complete with a 460CID, auto trans, 39.5 inch super swampers, and sexy faded red paint.

So fast forward a few years, my career is taking off and along comes the promotion. I get the job, ditch the girl, and move to NYC to bask in my professional glory (lmao). One hitch, they wont ship my truck. After all considerations, the best thing to do is sell it. And sell it I did.

Worst mistake ever. I have owned many, many vehicles, but this one was the only one that I ever regretted selling. Thusly, my desire for the this truck, this style, has earned it the moniker "Eleanor".
I believe I know of this red truck. A guy I knew of bought one set up exactly like it about 7 or 8 years ago, maybe a little longer. It used to run around the Frankenmuth and Reese area. I believe it was sold again a few years ago. It was a cool ass truck.

I've always wanted one of them old crew cabs. I can't believe how solid that truck is and how cheap you scored it for. The p.o. must have been hard up for meth money or some shit.

Keep up the progress. I'm in for updates.

Yea, that's the guy. He showed up with a much, much newer red f350 (f250 maybe) crew cab to tow it home. Saddest day in my vehicle history.

Yea, the guy I bought my current one from was definitely in need of some cash. One of the very few times in my life I was a bit nervous upon entering their area.

spring is near and I will have updates. The donor truck is still on my tow rig, so that will be the next round of pictures. Still reading my manual and shop manuals as I can. Looks to be the biggest challenge will be getting off my arse this spring and getting it done.
