Default My other toy.

Well there has not been much to report on the XJ so I thought some of you might like to see my other toy.

2007 Subaru WRX.

List of what I did to the car.

Extreme Turbo Systems Top mount.
Motive AutoWerks TGV deletes.
ID 1,000cc fuel injectors. (Yes I know there over kill.)
KStech big MAF cold air intake.
Port matched intake manifold to TGV bodies.
GirmmSpeed EBCS.
Tomei EL header, using the UEL headers up pipe.
Perrin Turbo blanket. (Stock heat shield cut and re-installed)
Gimmik motor sports turbo inlet.
Sammco hoses.
APS type I/C Y-pipe.
Turbo Smart BPV.
Walbro 255lph fuel pump.
Duel catch can system. (Moded Ebay cans)
Mishimito hoses.
GrimmSpeed rad cooling plate.
GrimmSpeed oil cap.
Cabb Ap V2
Inidia G300 cat back.
Ividia Catless V2 down pipe.
Kartboy long exhaust hangers.
Redline coolant additive.
Turbo oil feed line.
Blouch 16g XT 7cm TDO5, Ported.
STI I/C splitter.
KStech air pump block off plates.
Exedy Stage 1 HD clutch kit. (New 11/20/13)
Exedy Street light fly wheel. (New 11/20/13)
Group-N trans mount. (New 11/20/13)
Fresh fluid in the trans. (New 11/20/13)
Fresh fluid in the rear diff. (New 11/20/13)

And a lot more!

It made 367hp and 399tq to wheels on a mustang dyno!
On a dyno jet dyno it would be around 400hp to the wheels.

Its a rocket ship!

If you want a 2wd car sure but that kind of defeats the purpose if you ask me

Should be good for a mid 11 second pass. Others with the same car and power level have run any where from 11.1 up to 12.9. All depends on driver, track prep, elevation, and a little luck.

That's at the wheels thou man. And after it went threw an AWD system.
Crank corrected for the dyno it was tuned on showed 488hp. A Dynojet would show some where around 530hp at the crank. (They tend to read a little higher then Mustang dynos.)

It is light. 3,186lb with out me in it and half a tank of gas according to the scales at the track.

Given the power its making that gives it a power the weight of just 6.5lb per HP.

A new mustang GT500 is 7.6lb per HP. Lower the number the better.

And a few people have stuffed an LS in this car. But really, why? The stock motor if built will make 700hp+. And you don't have to give up the AWD.

Yep seen the vids my self. Some one even put a V10 out of a Toyota from japan in one one time. Though I don't know if they ever finished it.

Thanks man!
Lot of work went in to the car.

Read the mod list again man.
Its running a Bouch 16g XT 7cm fully ported with HPD billet compressor wheel. And its fully Ceramic coated to. I think I left that part off the mod list though.

Dynojet is a company, they make dyno's. It dose sound dumb to say it though.

Burn outs would fun though! Only real reason to convert one to RWD other then drifting.

No vids yet. I just got the clutch broke in and then had to throw the snow tires on it and go back to the low boost tune. (18psi verses 23psi)

I will post some vids as soon as it gets nice out and I can put my summer tires back on and run the high boost tune again. Snow tires have like no chance with this much power. I can not even go full throttle in fist or second on the low boost tune with them or I get wheel spin.

I can post a few vids of it just running around if you would like. But I will not be getting on it until spring time.

Thanks every one for the comments!

Just an FYI, I did all the work on the motor, except the tuning my self.
I did have the clutch installed, but only because I was pressed for time and needed the car finished by 11/21/13 (Took a trip for Thanksgiving) and was not going to be able to have it done by then do to work schedule if I did it my self.

The clutch and the tuning are the only things on the car I paid to have done. All the rest of the work to this point I did my self.

And there is more to come.

Next up:
More suspension work.
New summer tires.
And a few small tweaks.

Nice ride.....I love Subaru's. The turbo cars are awesome, but I needed an econobox and had to "settle" for a 2.5RS. I can't think of a more fun economical DD, especially in the snow. Definitely post up some videos when you get around to it.
