Default A new way to use a diesel tractor

Who'da thunk steering a tractor in reverse would do a great job at tilling the ground.

John Deere :850hp
VS
Steam Tractor : 18hp

Yeah, not to mention that when load is applied to the draw bar it takes weight off the rear wheels of the JD..That is where there is a standard hitch height in tractor pulls. I still thought it was awesome.

I don't believe that JD was anywhere near 850HP.

That JD could easily have been 850hp, but he was not using much throttle or there would have been black smoke belching out of it and parts flying out from under it.

I don't think a 100hp tractor has been built to 850hp. A front wheel assist tractor isn't a pulling tractor and its useless at 850 on a farm.

I find it hard to believe it was a diesel even with the black smoke. My first reaction when I saw the video was "who puts a gas engine in a diesel tractor?" Seemed like a huge downgrade.
