Partly on me for not extracting myself( there was a tree and my hi-lift gear in back) but we only had 2 hours of wheeling today. So I asked these guys to pull me out and a mixture of muddy windows and lack of communication they could not see the tipping point of our Jeep and over we went.
The worst part is the loss of our 2 cell phones to water damage (no insurance).
I did shake the drivers hand and said that all is well (he was very quiet throughout the ordeal) I hope they chime in and tell their side.

I agree and I've been on the wrong end of a similar situation. My take on it (since I've been there) is that the driver of the vehicle being extracted is responsible for his own vehicle. In this situation: ME If you don't like the situation, stop it. In my case, I expressed concern, others said I was OK and in the end, I went over. (also a slow roll) I can't blame my spotters either. Every one of us who has done much wheeling has made a bad judgement call on spotting. (mine most recent was last Sunday at the Mounds ) The most important thing is know the people who are helping you and keep a good line of communicaton.

Here's my whoops.

I was on the edge of a peninsula at The Mounds with 2 tires on ice and the left front sunk in mud. It was only 2' deep by the drivers door and 6" at thr left rear tire.
All I had to do was hand winch myself straight back to the tree with the Hi lift and I would have been fine. But I was impatient and asked for a tug sideways thinkig it would slide the rear around.
