Default 15 things not to say to an atheist.

Nice video. Hemant Mahta sums up some great points that seem to befuddle some people. I'm not so concerned with letting people know they shouldn't ask people these questions, as to let people hear the statement and hear a quick rebuttal as to why it's silly or rude. I don't offend very easily and wouldn't be offended by any of these questions/statements. More then likely, I would just laugh and explain as best I could as to why it doesn't make any sense.

Don't have 11 minutes right now to watch, but I really can't imagine anything that you would 'NEVER say to an atheist'.

<edit> Ok, watched about a minute... I get it now.

Lots of stupid questions and some stupid answers.
Where do I send him pizza?

Oh, and I would never say those things to be mean to an atheist, it's kind of rude to be mean to someone that is likely mentally ill or autistic.

It's OK, but you could just as easily but together a list of things atheists shouldn't say to others.

Would it help if I said I was a little offended at claiming that being an agnostic is a cop-out, implying that an agnostic is really an atheist, and I find it ironic that in his next breath complain about others labeling him without knowing him?

feel free, Bruce. This is America.

Although, again, I don't think it's necessarily a "DON'T SAY THESE THINGS TO ATHEISTS" so much as a, "IF YOU SAY THESE THINGS TO AN ATHEIST, THIS IS THE RESPONSE YOU WILL GET".

Thought about it, don't want to put my face on this webforum though.......We all know where that can go.

I understand his thinking but don't think he understands completely why Christians say those things to, not just athiests, but everybody.

I'm just going to leave on a funny note.....

Atheist camp songs tim hawkins - YouTube
He must be talking about Camp Quest. Sounds better than any church camp I've ever heard of.

Ever heard of springhill? Grace adventure? Timberwolf? Michindoh?

You probably just think it sounds better because you hate God.

How does that work for you? My wife is also a believer, but we don't have any kids.

I know another similar couple who just had a baby, however he doesn't really care about sending his child to church, etc.

I suppose I would be ok with my hypothetical child to go to church as long as i was able to share my viewpoints with him/her and they could make up their own mind.

I do not like the idea of forcing a child to go to church, though.
