You have the student handbook, the collective bargaining agreements, and you have board policy. That's it.

You must be thinking of board policy.

If this is what you meant, you will find that board policy in most districts is very similar. Staff conduct will be found under policy 5200. Staff ethics will be found under Policy 5215. This is a very common example of those policies:



The boards approach to this issue is based on the fact that:
A) It happened prior to her employment with the district
B) She has no criminal history
C) She is a member of a collective bargaining unit and therefore protected by her contract.

Like it or not, the district has no LEGAL standing to remove her.
