Sometimes lunch is a nice pre-planned thing and other times it seems like people snack on the fly because they are busy. So, promising to stop, gather firewood, build a fire big enough to cook over AND THEN start cooking is not something I ever plan for a snow run. I can't speak for other leaders but I think they also find varying snow conditions make it very hard to predict where they will be at lunch time.

On another note, there is a hope that we will hook up with RenegadeII's group for lunch and have a snowball fight but I'm quite expecting that they will get themselves all stuck and we will end up having to go bail them out. So, if we get to their EPIC FAIL, we might have time to build a fire while we give Mike and Danimal a lesson in extraction.
The snow appears to be like 2009... we winched for about 3 hours that day.

HOWEVER, I will be there on Saturday to lead one of my infamous runs that leave one day and return the next! But I need some help. As I'm vehicle-less this year I need to commandeer a vehicle with an open 'passengers' seat and a willing driver to lead my group. If you ever wanted to see how much fun it is breaking trail, now is your opportunity! I plan on hitting Edge of the World, SOFO Cut, Beaver Pond, Gas Can, Nine Strap Hill, and Camel Backs.
Post up if you can help out or give Kixx and Leah a call.

I'm always willing to help the group out, 2 open seats in mine.

Be forwarned its a fullsize, and im scared of all those really cool nicknames. I also have no idea trail level / equipment or expierence necesary. Other then it seems appropriate to have a chevy lead the way.

Chevy = YES.
Difficulty = You will want a winch and need to not worry about scratches. KB8YMF has a knack for getting lost and needing to turn around in the tightest places.

Would it be frowned upon if someone brought a half barrel of a pale ale or a half barrel of a wheat beer to share at barfari?

Jim, since my grandkids are not coming this year I will have 3 open seats in my Range Rover and you are more than welcome to ride along.

If it makes you feel better the flatty is less comfortable, and usually cold.

Hoping this year to be warm

Which weather guessers are making this forecast and is this for West Branch?
If so I hope they're right, but either way there should be plenty of snow in the woods to still have fun.
