Are the trail leaders planning on having a fire when we stop for lunch? Thinking about hobo dinners for lunch just need a fire to cook.

To give a more polite answer (I answered last night from the Wings game ) I hope to get as much wheeling in as possible. Not that I want to be on a mission to cover XX amount of ground, but that our group is hoping to be challenged with some tight, off camber stuff that is VERY hard to predict timing of where we will stop for lunch and how long we will have. Sometimes lunch is a nice pre-planned thing and other times it seems like people snack on the fly because they are busy. So, promising to stop, gather firewood, build a fire big enough to cook over AND THEN start cooking is not something I ever plan for a snow run. I can't speak for other leaders but I think they also find varying snow conditions make it very hard to predict where they will be at lunch time.

On another note, there is a hope that we will hook up with RenegadeII's group for lunch and have a snowball fight but I'm quite expecting that they will get themselves all stuck and we will end up having to go bail them out. So, if we get to their EPIC FAIL, we might have time to build a fire while we give Mike and Danimal a lesson in extraction.

Hell your answer last night was good for me and a lot less work for me. How many groups are there?

I think they usually have 6-8 groups.
