Jim,

imo, iroks for sure. I ran a 42x14.5-16 for a while and they were great in the sand and worked quite well in the snow. I stayed with 42s and went to the SXIIs because I wanted a double beadlock and a tougher tire. I'm actually looking at getting a set of Iroks again for just those couple of trips to SL each year. my SXIIs dig like a mofo

Nice vid. I like running at the dunes like that but Tab can't keep up.

I had 35" nokian mts, I would sway that way since nokian is known for snow tires also
Have you ever compared all tires at different sizes? A lot of the tires the tread blocks and voids become bigger as the tire becomes bigger. On other tires the tread blocks stay the same but there becomes more of them. This would affect tire performance.

that's a trick question. Michigan doesn't get deep snow. if you mean 2" of ice with some crusty mud/snow under neath. then no. I didn't pick these tires up til spring.

It's been years, but "back in the day" we got a ton of snow in the UP for some great snow runs.

I would love to get Ron to open up some time when Harrison gets hammered. Python would be a blast with 2 ft of fresh snow.

Can anyone remember the last time Harrison got hammered with snow? We quit using our cabin in the area for a snowmobile camp back in the 93/94 season.

Fuck no I can't! You could run wooden wagon wheels and smoke me at the dunes. Its not easy pushing the two ton shit missile around with the stock 4 liter at the dunes.

hahaha....... no, I didn't buy paddles. I was just commenting on your video. It's a bummer that Glamis is so far away. I don't think my wife would like me going to Glamis with the guys. KOH yes, sand, no.
