Default 7/8 18tpi heim joints impossible to find???

Hey, i recently purchased a tie rod that some one made, its DOM thats tapped for 7/8 18 tpi TRE well when I went to put it on the passenger side TRE's tapper is smaller than the drivers side well I thought the solution to my problem would be just to use heim joints in place of the tre's but im having a very hard time finding heims that are 7/8 18tpi everything i find is 14tpi

Does anyone know where to find 7/8' 18mm heims LH and RH thread???

thank you in advanced

What is a 7/8' 18 mm? You're using standard and metric measurements in the same size.

7/8-18 is a standard GM D60 tie rod end. 18 threads per inch, not mm.

No heims for that measurment. Been down that road myself. I just did away with tre all together to run just heims and ran 1.5 vs 1.25 tube for more beef.

I don't know of anyone making 7/8-18 heims, but a solution to your problem could be either:

Tie rod reamer

http://completeoffroad.com/i-122857-...-in-u-s-a.html

or a tie rod over bushing

http://completeoffroad.com/i-123283-...ana-44-60.html

or you could also just have the wrong tie rod end. There are four GM one-ton tie rod ends we sell, and two have a larger starting and ending diameter than the other two.

Hope this helps.
