I wouldn't hesitate to take anything to these guys. I plan on having them modify my 25' trailer and will also have the LJ back for more in the future. Good people, good experience and won't jerk you around. Hammer all the way.

Yes, we can bulid them, no problem. But they do get expensive, due to material, axles, tires, coil overs, fuel cells, plumbing an electical. Im sure you know there is a lot of work to go into one. If your interested, give us a call and we can see what you have, and what you want to go into one. Having a full drive train from engine to axles, saves alot.

why are the stringers from the grille hoop to the stinger hoop bent? Wouldn't that cause the stinger to just bend if it hit something? I realize it is to allow more light to project from the headlights...

or is this just a mall crawler.

Unfortunatley man, for a 30ft gooseneck, you would be over $1,000 before we bought just the steel and decking. thats not to include the elctrical, lights, jack, hitch, axles, brakes, rims and tires. I'm not saying that $1,000 can't get you one, but we don't like cutting corners, or building anything half a$$, if you know what I mean. We stand by our name and our work, and we would not feel comfortable trying to build that big of a trailer with that budget.

Yes it allows for more light from headlight, but we make all of our cages, grill hoops, and stingers, etc.. out of DOM tubing, usually 1 3/4 .125wall or .188wall, that stinger can support the full weight of the LJ, no problem.

alrighty then. I'll assume you did an FEA analysis on it before you built it that way.

Oh of course. That would be a correct assumption. You shouldn't make assumptions though, didnt you learn that in high school or college? Besides, thats some nice engineering behind that 6in cow catcher you have on the K30. If you want some real engineering on tube work, feel free to give us a call and we'll get you a nice (feasible) winch bumper.

Oh we also can hook you up with a paint job. and yes we have a shop, not like the parking lot at your frat house.

I was kind of expecting a website to be a professional. Nbd.

I'd love to see a von Mises diagram of that bumper hoop assembly with the full weight of the tj pushing on it. Also, that cage on your Craigslist post.

I like my cow catcher, it holds pressurized air for me. It also doesn't budge when I hit trees

Well, swing by the shop. we have copies on file. Maybe you'd like to see our built in and on board air tanks. I think you'd probably lean away from your 70's style cow catcher. Plus, your an engineer so you know the strength of DOM tube vs pipe. DOM holds up to trees too.

But I am so glad to have someone like you so concerned about our work. Thanks man.

There is no difference between Tube and pipe except for how it is measured. Dom is a grade of tube just like a53b, a106b, a333, ect are grades of pipe.

I fail to understand why you think my bumper is inferior. It is higher up than the stock bumper, it is stronger than the stock bumper. The main tube was welded by a certified pipe welder to hold air. It didn't cost me a dime to make. Yes, it is probably heavier than a bumper made of 1.5" DOM or HREW, but it also looks more appealing to me than a prerunner looking bumper. I didn't build that truck to be the lightest in the bunch, and I think the bumper weighs around 75-80 lbs. Not a big deal to me.

Seeing as how you like to do a background check on me, what difference does it make if I did a fair amount of work in the parking lot of my fraternity. You failed to notice and/or mention the shop that I do a lot of work in as well

I do all of my fabrication work there. Most guys would be happy that you are doing what you can where you can. Beats a dirt floor.
