Thinking a 85 or 230f. I want to get her a 125 so she's set for good and can ride at the dunes but its too tall and powerful right now.

Ya she won't be riding in the dunes until she's ready. She has climbed all the hills at the dunes on my dads rincon but she wants a bike. Yes I have your right its horrible lol

She is 115 lbs lol. Ya your right it definitely won't be like riding with my buddies but if she wants to get into riding I'm all for it. It will be boring at first but she will get better and then we will have a blast going riding together

Tempting but I don't think a cr250 is a good starter bike lol. How tall is your sister?

Damn you crazy homie! Within riding once or twice my gf might be as good as you. Look out x games

I do understand. I wouldn't get that for MY wife to learn on, I got her a nice 4 stroke easy going ttr 125. It was perfect.

I, however, was not dead set on taking her to ride at the dunes with possibly a 2 stroke 125 (which I also agree is a terrible idea.).

Agree. I've been riding for a few years now and I still suck HARD in the sand. Silver Lake on a bike would be an offroad nightmare to me.

I'm 5'3 never touched the ground on any of my dirt bikes.(IT175&IT200)my street bike I can:). I could on my 1971TS 90 after I'd moved on to my DT250. On the 250 I could leaning to one side.
I always started bikes with kickstand down, hopped off up kickstand in gear push run letting out clutch jump on. I rode a lot of different bikes.
Had a Suzuki RV 125 I could touch the ground on. It had big floatation tires. I had a love/ hate for it. It was too easy in the sand - it was too easy in sand no challenge.
We had a rule if you can start it you can ride it. My cousin had a modded Kow 900,(I was 13-14) he didn't think I'd figure out the safety. I did, I got it started and took of with the kickstand still down:). He, and my dad stopped me. I didn't get in trouble he did:). He kept saying I didn't think you would do it.
At my age (52) , plus my bad leg I'd like a Yamaha TW. I'd sell my Intruder then.
By they way IM FEmale.

So your rule was that you could ride whatever you want as long as you could start it, even bikes that weren't yours? Your cousin got in trouble because you jumped on his bike without asking and got it started. Sounds like you needed to learn some etiquette.

I wouldn't ever jump on somebody else's bike without asking permission.

I think you should buy her some bald 31" tires and have her attend the mustache run.

Ya growing up I could never touch the ground on my bikes when I first got them but I grew into them and everything was fine. Although she won't be able to grow into the bike she gets. I think I'll start her off with a 85 or 230 then later down the road she can get a 125 or 250f

I'm getting tired of two stroke. Next bike will be a four stroke. I like the crf450's.

Got cha. I only want a Honda anyways. Not an expert but know you never ride and can't ride your bike as fast as it can be ridden. Your hardly experienced enough for that bike I would get a 250f if I were you. 4 strokes have there perks but also flaws why you sick of your 2 stroke?

Just cause I don't ride my bike as much as you ride yours, doesn't mean I don't know how to ride my bike. You've never even rode with me so your reply has no value.

My buddy has a crf450 and I really like it. Plus, I want to do more trail riding and don't want to have to worry about mixing oil and what not. I'd rather just pull up to a gas station and fill up. And, I really like Honda's Lol

You're and expert rider because your bike has more stickers than mine
