I have a HF and it has never failed me, a little slow but pulls hard. I would get a HF winch agin if this one ever dies.

I just can't get past the awesomeness of 'stock other than 6 1/2 lift and 35's'.

Many would consider that to be 'totally built off-road vehicle'

Disagree.....unless it has axle upgrades and lockers...it's still just a pretty, cool looking mall crawler

Off topic I'm sorry .
How does she like the cherokee on the street ? My sixteen year old daughter wants a lifted cherokee and it worries me some.
She drove my XJ offroad but snow and ice at speed is different.

As long as you get the front end alignment done correctly its all good. I drive it 75 down the expressway and its perfectly fine. She loves it

Your the cool mom you would say that . ;-) She has sway bars and steering stabilizer? That maybe why my jeep is all over the road.

Wrangler or XJ ? My daughter wants a Wrangler but the short wheel base worries me. My oldest drove a stock XJ two years of high school and I didn't worry. Thats why I'm asking because the youngest daughter wants to go lifted NOW ! lol

Trish got an XJ because I felt they were safer than a TJ...and I knew it would end up lifted. She's heavy footed like her momma....made the right choice. I don't think a TJ is a good first ride for any kid......just my opinion

The only car my old man ever bought for me to drive (not to keep) was an 87 Taurus he revived from a junkyard, and my sister beat on it for 2 years before me.

I didn't get a jeep until he drug home an 89 yj with broktid 4wd from the same yard, and he handed me the bill...

Ah..hahaha...I am going to give my daughter my old xj minus the lockers, but keeping the 12" lift and stroker with it.

Well once she gets a job and can keep it fueled
