Default PSA if you bought insurance from C-Rog check your policy

I know I am not the only one on here who bought insurance policies from C-Rog or Chris Rogers.....and, come to find out I am not the only one who could have possibly gotten fucked.

I know of one person who had all of their policies fail to renew, home, car, etc.

My homeowners failed to re-new even though I pay it through my escrow, even worse as I called them to get to the bottom of it I find that they had insured the house I used to live in, not the one I live in now.

Double check to make sure the information on your policies is correct and current so you don't get fucked.

As many times as I have posted that it is stupid to have your taxes and insurance handled through escrow- because you don't find out until the cancellation arrives if it's not paid- and yet The Smartest Man On The Internet has done just that.

I'm feeling just a bit superior right now...

C-Rog was real. I met him once. As much risk as walking into the local insurance agency in my book.

Can you clarify more so?
Was it a mistake hence, went to make a claim and you got fucked?
Or was it Chris Rogers that fucked you?

99% of the problems I've heard of people's homeowners policies not renewing, even when they were legitimately paying it, come down to problems with the bank/escrow company, not the insurance company.

Yeah...the guy who I wheeled with, hung out with and have known for at least 5 years. You're fucktarded.

Luckily I didn't get screwed.

I was "insured" through citizens a legit company. They unfortunately were insuring my previous address not my current address.

Im not blaming anyone. Im simply saying if you purchased insurance through chris who was a legit agent and has moved in to other things to just double check your policy as I know of another person who also had an issue.

Immortal I would say it was likely an honest mistake on a data entry portion of the policy. I wasn't screwed. Luckily. Just a heads up.

Chris is no longer with the agency. The agency was mailing my renewal to the wrong address. My mortgage company brought the renewal issue to my attention before a problem came up.

Unless your 20% in escrow is required.

Did you not read the policy he signed you up for initially? The wrong address seems like a pretty obvious thing to catch to me if you read it before you signed it.

My initial policy is my correct address....some how for some reason it was changed. Im assuming some dummy thought I moved the other direction? Not exactly sure what/why/who/when/how.

Not true, depends on who you are dealing with...I wasn't 20% on my first house and I didn't have to escrow....however I am 20% in my current house and choose to escrow...I happen to like it better with the escrow account than without the escrow account

Must be a Chemical Bank thing then. I tried to save $150/yr by not escrowing my insurance and they said I had to.

I prefer the escrow. Even though blootool doesn't like it. My issue wasn't caused by the escrow but by the insurance companies mess up.

If interest rates on savings accounts, CDs, or money markets were worth a shit currently, there's no way I'd escrow the insurance or taxes with my lender. As it is though, with most places offering less than 1% on anything under a year, I don't care about using their escrow service. For that amount of interest, it's not worth the hassle to handle it all myself.

No. I don't think chris would ever intentionally screw anyone.
