Default 2009 jk oil issue

have a 2009 4 door jk that is using almost 2 quarts of oil every 5000 miles, jeep not smoking, no leaks underneath, no visual leaks on engine or valve cover. any suggestions as to what is going on?

goggle "jk oil consumption". actually 2qt every 5k is pretty good. 1qt per 1k is within "spec"

i keep and eye on my Trip B odometer and just make sure i check the oil every 1k miles. within the last 5k-7.5k miles i've gone from over 1qt/1k down to maybe 0.5qt/1k. not sure why but swapping out a new pcv valve may have helped

Mine does too, change your pcv valve if you haven't done it recently.

this is a very common problem and Chrysler put a new short block in our 09 four door for this same reason. hopefully you are the original owner and purchased it during their lifetime drivetrain warranty offering.

here is the thread on ours, there is some good reading in there.
