Shot body mounting points

My 05 Tj already has two body mounts rusted at the tub channel. What is the common fix? There isn't enough space in between the frame and tub to work.
Do people just weld new 3/16" the length of the channel with predrilled and tapped holes?

Someone makes a new channel that you weld in with the nuts already installed.

On my yj I cut strips and welded them on creating a c Chanel to case the old rail. I then used 1.5" hole saw to expose the top of the inside of the rail. I welded a nut to a large washer, inserted from the top, tightenedthe bolt and wwelded the nut washer combo to the inside of the rail. I then tacked the pace the hole saw removed over the hole.

It was a lot of work but it is solid!

that's my thought, blow off the stub sticking up behind the seat inside and refab something all the way thru from there down. Here comes another round of salt

They're called torque boxes. Classic Enterprises makes replacements in both full length and the back half.
