Default Xj fender trimming

I picked up a 1998 xj. Just bought some nice 33's on wheels from a member here. Got them on today and they rub a bit. It has what I think is a 4.5" lift. Only rubs on full turn. So my question is how do I go about trimming the front fenders without it looking like hell? I've seen some done on here. I've never done this and don't want to butcher the job. The xj is in pretty decent shape the way she sits so I'd like to keep it looking decent. Thanks for your help and input.
