Default Project Auction Wheeler

So heres the deal. I picked up a 1998 xj at a police auction. It has a small lift on it. The radiator was messed up from the clutch fan seizing up and taking out the radiator. So when i get it home and start cleaning out the xj i found a new radiator and fan.

Plans are to get it road worthy. I need to swap the radiator and fan. It needs tires and wheels. They are wore out and mismatched wheels. Looks like it should clear 33's. Then next would be axle regearing and lockers.

$174.39. It was a sealed bid auction. Bad thing is I was the only bid. So I could have got it cheaper. Minimum bid is $50.

Just wrote down a number. A friend if mind does these sealed bid auctions all the time. He. Told me never do a even amount because that what most people do. You just need to be the highest bid and well I was the only bid on this.

Update: got the radiator swapped and found out the jeep had a broken trans mount causing the fan to hit the radiator. Replaced the trans mount and had a new windshield installed. It has one window that rolled down part way but won't roll up now. I have to get that working. Also the right rear door won't open so I have to tackle that soon. Got some trail digger m/t's on wheels delivered to me today. Put those on and have a bit of fender trimming to do. Any input on how to do this without it looking like Ray Charles did would be helpfull. Tomorrow it's going to get a deep cleaning of the interior and exterior. Also found out today that the pressure hose on the power steering has a pinhole in it so I'll make a hose for it when I go to work on Monday.

Interested about fender trimming too... get a little rub with say bars connected... so no disco until trimming for me.

How does someone not bid like $200 on every car and scrap them at the very least and make money. Great score though.

Found out today that both motor mounts are bad. Ordered them today and should have them tomorrow. Decided to also try to find some cut out fender flares for the front. Decided I don't want it have exposed cut metal on a trim job.
