Default 08 Mariner (ford escape) left bank lean code

My wife's 08 Mariner, 3.0l v6, 126k miles just threw a left bank lean code after rough idle and hesitation.
I put a bottle of f/i cleaner in the tank and took it for a 20 mile drive. Came home and unhooked the battery to clear the code. Seemed to work fine for a couple hours then started up again.
Since only the left bank is showing a lean condition, could it be a bad injector or o2 sensor?
All equipment is original except for the Alternator which was changed last week.

3 liter was common for intake gaskets i believe, and that would cause a lean code.

X3, probably a vac leak somewhere. check the PCV/breather hoses, they get oil soaked and sucked in.

Thanks all, i checked the vac lines and pcv valve which seemed fine. Listened for vac leaks and finally gave in and took it to the dealer. Ended up being a dirty maf sensor. Last oil change i didnt seat the air filter properly and some bugs got caught in the sensor. $99 mistake.
