Question 95 dodge ram trans issue

I have a 95 ram with a 5.9l 4x4 went trail cruising not real muddy now trans doesn't want to shift out of 2nd gear what could be issue reverse works great as well as 1st to 2nd is ok...any ideas?

Check the linkage ,my 96 did that and the linkage from the passing gear rod was sticking.

Did wetter get in trans? Check linkage.I put a small return spring on my kick down/ throttle position lever at trans the little holes to mount it were already there, got springs from hardware store put little one inside other spring like carb spring.
