Default The Yerf Dog GX150 build

I picked this beast up the other day because I was itching for a project. It's a yerf dog "spiderbox". It's a go kart with front independent suspension and a 150cc engine with CVT trans. My plans are to lift the front end, tune the engine a bit, and outfit it for back road/2track/oRV route cruising with my wife. In Gladwin, I can drive out of town from my house and be legal on county roads with an ORV sticker.













So far I've ordered an aluminum intake manifold (because the stock rubber one is cracked) and a set of heavy duty ball joints. I'm still looking at what I want to do for tires/wheels on the front.

All of them up here that I have seen have busted the upper ball joint mounting on the control arm in the front. There are several mods including heims and such to prevent this. Doesn't seem to matter what size tires you run, they still bust there.

Are you putting bigger tires in the rear too? If so, you will want to consider re-gearing it.
