If thats how you rationalize it. . .
Well what if I want the choice to be able to shoot a dove if I see one?

What a load of shit. Take a stand. The "choice" kills a baby.

But if that's the way you want to see it...you can keep telling yourself whatever you want. The bottom line is that you want a woman have the choice to kill a baby, but you don't want anyone else to have the choice to hunt doves. That is some really screwed up thinking there.

In Big Rapids we lived next to a woman that had a "Save The Whales" sticker on the left side of her bumper and a "Pro-Choice" sticker on the right.

We lived in a duplex and there was a tree in the front yard...just on our side of the middle of the yard. That's the tree that we hung our deer in every year just to mess with her. :tonka:

She had the same f-ed up logic as MikeS. Never made any sense and could never explain to me why it's ok to kill babies..."cuz it's my choice" but not animals to eat.:stan3:

1. So are you for or opposed to dove hunting?

2. Are you for or opposed to liberal hunting?

But....

Shoot a few and you have a nice meal, catch a nice mess of fish and you have a fantastic meal.

I am really surprised at the people posting here...PRO-CHOICE when it comes to killing babies, but then they want to let the government say we can't hunt birds.

WTF...you guys are really messed up.
This needs repeated

I didn't plan on hunting doves. But I did attempt to uphold freedom with a yes vote. This is a prime example of people only caring about their own freedom. Maybe someday we will have Liberty for all.

Does anyone even read what they are voting on these days. In the last sentence of the proposal found at:

http://web1.msue.msu.edu/slg/materia...%20VERSION.pdf

The coalition favoring the proposal is The Commitee to Keep Doves Protected:

And a lot of funding came from out-of-state groups hoping to lever this precedent to assault other types of hunting.

While I didn't plan to hunt doves myself, I don't begrudge those that choose to do so. Where I hunt deer in OH, they have dove hunting fields planted.

What really aggravated me about this is that this was all about emotions. "Bird of peace", "not overpopulated", "only shot for target practice" with visuals of crippled birds flopping around on the ground.

If you don't want to hunt doves (deer, pheasants, coyotes, bears, grouse, rabbits, etc...) then don't. But stop forcing your beliefs on others.

Funny it gets shot down by mostly "pro-choice" people.
