hmmm i read somewhere in the last couple days that doves are already hunted in like 40 of the 48 continental united states..and to date that they have not shown any serious decline from the open hunting...

i voted yes....

and i'll probably just never hunt em...just aint no sport in hunting animals anymore....

Damn straight. And I only hunt deer, so next time a proposal comes forward from the animal rights groups to prevent pheasant, turkey, duck, rabbit hunting maybe I'll just vote them away too. I guess I shouldn't have voted Yes for Prop. G and No for Prop. D 10 years ago because I haven't hunted a bear yet since then. What was I thinking. :miff:

The wheeling community seems to stick together.....better than the hunting community.

What a bunch of hog shit. Ok, so maybe we should outlaw fishing for bluegill..OMG! Not a lot of meet there...then there is the perch, sunfish, crappie...etc. What about the woodcock? Not much meet there either?

But....

Shoot a few and you have a nice meal, catch a nice mess of fish and you have a fantastic meal.

I am really surprised at the people posting here...PRO-CHOICE when it comes to killing babies, but then they want to let the government say we can't hunt birds.

WTF...you guys are really messed up.

like the DNR is managed well enough to handle whats on their plate already

I just think hunting something that small is freaking retarded.
So do I, but I still voted yes on it, mostly because there wasn't one good reason I could find to oppose it. Actually the only reason I would have considered "no" for it would be the first statement, that it would create more work for the DNR to manage which they might not have the resources to do so. But that didn't seem like a big issue concerning this.

No one seems to be making a big deal about the Crow being a game bird, why the fuss over Doves.
