Some vacation pics

We took off Saturday morning and headed down to Pigeon Forge Gatlinburg area. We had a cabin up on a hill side nice and private.

It was busy for the holiday weekend so we took the time to head to Clingmens dome. It's the highest point in TN.

A few pics from various places.

The water pics are from our ride around Roaring Fork Motor Trail

Monday took us to Deals Gap and "The Tail of the Dragon". I drove so I don't have many pics just the tree of shame.

Then we did a few of the tourist traps nothing to show.

On the way home we decided that we should stop by lake cumberland Ky to see my FIL and his buddies. They are gearing up for the poker run Saturday.
The big white Skater is a friends that ran 175 at The LOTO shoot out this yet and won his class. The multi colored Eliminator is the FIL's boat.

My way was there warming the turbines up to take the owner of the white boat for a ride. My Way won top speed at LOTO this year with 224mph

Oh yeah I found a 30 of Coors light. Second one I have ever found.

All in all it was a great week. Wish I could have stayed for the poker run but we gotta go take care of the dogs. My FIL took last week so it's our turn. Plus Saturday I have a big bash to get hammered at. Monday will suck to have to go back to working a little.

Very nice boats. I feel lucky to have a chance to go play. His sons both play with super fast drag boats. The family has a thing for boats that can get out of their own way.

No sir. Lake Cumberland is a lake made by a dam. They have been working on the damn for like 7 years. The lake is 20' higher than last year with 20 more to go until full pool. The lake almost instantly drops straight off. That ramp is for multiple reasons. They have lots of big house boats on that lake along with big boats. 5 feet to the right of that ramp is 36' of water. Roads dead end into the lake all over, it's all rock clifs around the edge, and there are entire towns under it.

Drove through the lake cumberland area on fathers day picking up a BSA Lightning in TN. All I have to say about that area is WOW. KY has to be one of the most gorgeous states in the USA, and that area is sweet. I just wish I could have spent more time there.

Cool pics.
