I've got a simple garage door question. I currently have two houses, the old house has a nice fancy door. The new house has a plain door. Both doors are 16x7, can they just be swapped, or is there more to it?

Ok I will do it. Thanks for the job! I only work from home and only work Tuesday and Wednesday. I am no good before noon and quit at 4:30. $134,700 is just fine for my salary and for a company vehicle it's probably best to lease as I need a new one every 6 months. We can work out the rest of the details in a month I am taking my vacation time up front.

Are you going to do it yourself or hire it out? Just take he sections and swap them? Are the both the same weights? Ie: both insulated or not, does the fancy one have a wood veneer on it? Are they both wood or metal? If the weights are to far off they wont balance and will prematurely wear out the garage door opener or wont stay open/closed if used manually. It isnt always a simple swap but all you really need are the springs for each door if they are different. Also, if doing it yourself, please dont try to use a screw driver or socket extension to take the tension off the springs and dont start taking sections out or removing the cables or bottom brackets without removig the spring tension.

Do both doors use the same style spring? Torsion, stretch, wayne dalton torque. Master. may need to remove the whole doors and track/springs to do the swap
