I was bidding on this last night. '66 Fairlane with a 460 in it

http://auction.repocast.com/details.cfm?ID=1392097

Someone please tell me this is a piece of shit that's not worth $4,500+ and I would have been stupid to keep bidding on it.....

If you were looking for profit, yes stupid.

If you have been wanting one to add to your collection, that one seems pretty clean

There 2000 F350 7.3L with 600K with rot out bed sold for $3,900 that just crazy.

Other one 2008 F350 6.4l with 400K look tired it sold for $10K.

If you going bid I would look them closely to find why they rid of them in first place.

Check out the repocast style site for Not Just Guns. They are over in Mason.

I bought my XDS there last month for like $430.

I usually swing by http://www.1800lastbid.com/ It has all of the auctions ran by that software.

We have bought a couple little things off of Repocast. I have been pleased so far. I do have to say you need to go look at anything big before bidding. I know that seems like common sense, but...well...yeah... Their descriptions are more often than not very minimal. I've seen a few things there that were auctioned and they sure looked a hell of a lot worse in person than on the site.

Anyway, it's like anything else in life. Know what you are bidding on and don't overpay.

I didn't. That's why I stopped bidding at $4,500.00

A friend of mine has a body shop, and he owes me a favor. I figured he could of fixed the rust spots, or just completely repainted it.

The description said it "runs and drives". But then you see the bald tires, two of which were flat, one wheel missing some wheel studs, the shady looking wiring on the 460 swap, the fucking wires dangling from the dash, the multiple rust spots you mentioned, or the condition of the underbody/floorboards, etc etc etc.

I should have gone and looked at it.

Between the rust, hillbilly hacking, and obvious neglect, I'd guess that thing has been beat on pretty hard.

Just because it says on the site that a bidder won on an item with repocast, doesn't mean that they actually won on high dollar items. A lot of seller put reserves on them and if it doesn't meet the reserve, then you actually lose. I have seen the same cars and other high dollar items on the site weeks later.

Or even the next week. I was high bidder on 2 different Jeeps one week and saw both of them back again the next week. Medima says that they are supposed to wait a couple weeks before relisting but that does not always happen. After that I was never able to buy either one of them. Still not sure they were actually sold. It would be nice if they at least listed an item as having a reserve. I hate reserve auctions. Just start the bidding at what the reserve is and save everyone all the hassle.
