Default railroad ties, old wood, decking, etc

I am hoping to find some cheap railroad ties around AA. I can drive an hour and get them for 2 bucks per, but I am hoping to find some closer. I am also looking for old decking from someone who is tearing theirs up or 2x4s, etc from people doing remodel jobs. I will help remove the decking too. Thanks.

... ice rink?

Home depot has railroad ties for like $6 per, but I'm sure that's more than you want to pay...

There was a guy out near metamora that had a huge pile of them for free. Come and get em.

I would call Amtrak. They've been replacing ties from AA westward all summer and would probably let you have some of the old ones. Get authorization first though, you don't want to steal from the federal government...
