Obie is so awesome.
I hope Mr. President wins another Nobel Peace prize for this.

I can see this happening.

Not out of the question in my book, but unlikely IMO.

http://news.yahoo.com/syria-says-acc...114743241.html

MOSCOW (AP) Syria says it has accepted Russia's proposal to place its chemical weapons under international control for subsequent dismantling.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem said Tuesday after meeting with Russian parliament speaker that his government quickly agreed to the Russian initiative to "derail the U.S. aggression."

Meanwhile, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia is now working with Syria to prepare a detailed plan of action, which will be presented shortly.

Lavrov said that Russia will then be ready to finalize the plan together with U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

President Barack Obama said Monday the Russian proposal could be "potentially a significant breakthrough," but he remained skeptical that Syria would follow through.

Interesting twist... Russia has removed it's proposal from the table.... What country will reintroduce it?

Or, the Syrian government gave some of the weapons to other friendly forces to use and blame the rebels.

Looks like Kerry/Obama are trying to derail Russia's proposal at the UN by insisting on the use of force.

Ultimate oxymoron: Obama quoting Ronald Reagan.

Or the US ops supplied the rebels with chemical weapons to supply a pretext for war.

Did anybody else happen to catch the interview Shepard did this afternoon on Fox with a congresswoman ... something Lee? She successfully blamed the countries resistance to going after Syria on Iraq, thus essentially saying, This whole thing is a mess, because of Bush.

well, in a very small sense she is right.

I don't think everyone backed bush's decision either, I think more people were willing to give him a small bit of a pass due to other circumstances surrounding the decision. But I think it is fair to say that much of the concensus was mind your business and let the sandbox sort itself out.

Here we are again, the only difference is even more people oppose obie, possibly because of what we watched happen in iraq when bush stuck out troops there.....

It seems that the only thing more disliked by the world than our country is our president.
It's a start.
