sand rail info

i just got a sand rail in on trade its vw powered just wondering if anyone could help me figure out the year and displacement etc.. thanks for ur help

You can tell by measuring the OD of the water pump outlet. 1 3/4" is the small displacement, 1 13/16" is the larger displacement and 1 7/8" is the largest they built. The length can help determine the year.
