Default Bomb threat at work today

http://www.9and10news.com/story/2332...lt-high-school

Quote:
Sault Ste Marie Police confirmed bomb threat at Sault High School.

The threat happened over the phone.

The school was evacuated and searched by school personnel and police.

Nothing was found and the school was cleared for re-entry.

Students safely resumed their first day of school.

Stupid. We spent 2 hours sitting in the middle school gym while they searched the school then the police came in and nabbed one of the kids for questioning. Great way to start it.

They were determined to not send the kids home. I am in the middle of re-gearing anyway so I am down.

Funny story about these. One week while I was in high school we had two of these threats in one week. Both times my friends and I got our parents to excuse us from the rest of classes so we could leave. I walk out to my tj and throw my backpack in and start to drive down the road that follows the side of the school. Well apparently during lunchtime I had been working on something with my tailgate open and I dont know if I didn't shut it all the way or just plain forgot, but just as I was passing the parking lot supervisor or whatever this lady was, the tailgate flys open, out goes my husky mechanics set. The thing looked like a small briefcase. So here the school is in lockdown and I go speeding away (I didn't notice for a couple seconds) from this bomb looking object in my jeep. Once I realize what happened I turn around to get it and this lady is freaking out. She's screaming and calling people on her little walkie talkie. I walk over and pick up the tools and when I can finally convince her to get close enough to inspect she realizes that is in fact just a few wrenches and sockets. Had a good laugh from that one.

Did anyone ever notify the authorities with a real bomb threat? Why would they? So all their work gets discovered and they could get caught without accomplishing his goals? Why don't we evacuate a building every time a squirrel shits on the lawn outside? The correlation between that event and finding an actuall a bomb threat is about the same as bomb threat call.

Given that there is welfare available and not a high population of them sucking the teet there to begin with, the obvious answer would be yes.
