Kill two birds with one stone.

I have an '86-91 HP60 and a '73 14 bolt. The 60 is complete as it came from the truck.

The 14 bolt does not have the carrier, pinion or calipers. It has been converted to disks. The brackets are kinda hokey but they work.

$900

just how much stronger is the 14 bolt over a rear 60 or the sterling 10.25 any clue guys?
i kept reading that the 14 bolt is a like an anchor but if im planning to run 40s or bigger that shouldnt be to much of an issue, am i correct? kinda starting to lean towards the 14 bolt just want more input. thanks

The 14 bolt is bad ass just shave off the bottom of the housing ! The 60 shafts are weak and the sterling doNt have a lot of options when it comes to locker gear combos

Just an FYI
http://www.greatlakes4x4.com/album.p...pictureid=9672

Factory sticks bolt directly to the T/C NO linkage involved.......Just a 1/2" shoulder bolt and the lower ball ( of the stick) slips into the little adapter plate on the shift rod.
