Default XD-S being recalled now also

Some of the XDs 9's and 45's are being recalled because of possible unintended discharge while loading and possible double fire with single trigger pull.

http://gunssavelives.net/gun-industr...ds-45-pistols/

Springfield has a link on their site but it is currently under maintenance.

Unfortunately mine falls into the affected serial #'s.

x2

I kinda wonder if pretty much everyone is sending their guns in. The XDS 9mm recall is from SN 900000 to 938700. I suppose that would be the first 38,700 guns produced? I think my SN is something like 928xxx.

I guess this means it's time to go gun shopping for a replacement while it is in the shop.

When I called today they said 3-4 weeks. But on a good note I found 45 shells at Meijer's in Oxford. 40.77 for a box of 100.

Are you sending in the complete pistol, or just the lower? I assume it has to ship back to you via an FFL right?

The whole gun. They didn't say anything about a FFL to send it in or sending it back.

Once you own the gun you can ship and take delivery on it.

Just not via USPS. FedEx is the best service to use.
