I wonder how fast it really is. All those clips were sped up.

I saw that on Invention USA. Dumb show, but every now and then they had something cool on it.

For the price I would rather walk under a hoist.

I'd be very interested at a $1000 price point. Working on big rigs, tractors, etc in farm shops, this would be a sweet piece.

Even as a professional, I could see this being valuable. When I was wrenching, I'd often have a car on both hoists, and still have misc. jobs going in a flat stall. It would really be sweet if it would go high enough to use as a topside creeper. Sell it on tool trucks, and offer upgrade accessories, like lights, "Third hand outriggers", bigger tires, mp3 players, etc, and it would sell well, even at double the price, IMO.

I did some Google searching and seen several people talking about this. Looks like a $1000 bill will buy it. Allot of people with back injury's or leg amputations were excited to see this and buy it so they could get back to wrenching on vehicles. Much easier for them to get under a vehicle and back up off the ground.

Yes a hoist would be the ultimate thing to have. But unless you can find a decent one for the same price i would say this is a great alternative !

I see it as an addition. Even owning a hoist, I'd also like to have one of these. Kinda like, Just because I have a tool box, doesn't mean I won't buy a tool cart.

Although from my google searching, I haven't found them available, just a failed sponsor program, and a statement saying they need someone to partner with as a manufacturer, or an investor with enough monies to get them manufactured.

What happens when the grease covered switch sticks or hell gets bumped and sends your chest against the frame with over 400 pounds of force?

Probably something less painful than when your hoist unlocks itself, and drops the whole shit'n'shebang on your head.

Moral... The grease covered switch wont stick, or get bumped.
