Until you have yours next to one on 44's and suddenly 36's seem tiny. Damn you Jesse!

Really, do what he said. Resist the urge! Have you ever been on a run where nobody gets stuck? Its boring!

I agree with Jim. bigger footprint, more leverge and possibly more shock load when they are spooled up and then hook.

it's definitely pushing a d44, but run the 39s and adjust your driving style if necessary. get some good chromos in there as well. I ran a d44 with yukons pretty hard for years on 37s and had good luck.. heavy rigtoo

I would make that trade. Beadlocks are over rated.

I ran a stock d44 under my ranger with 37" pitbulls no issues. I stepped up to 39.5 tsls, and the only issues I have had is keeping joints in it. If you are light on the throttle you can get away with it. I just put chromos in it so only time will tell how long those hold up.

FWIW, If you are high centering on rocks with 36's, the 1.5" of clearance you would gain, probably wont keep you from high centering, it will just get you high enough that you can bump it hard to slide over. If you find yourself just grazing the tops of rocks all the time, then it would be a good choice. If it just gets you high enough to bump it, that means beating it, and puts you in a position of the leverage breaking your shafts.

40's in the rocks on stock D44 shafts? Doesn't sound like a good idea at all, unless you enjoy blocking up the trail, asking for help all the time, and hosting trailside wrenchfests.
