A good friend of mine did a chevy TBI swap onto his international engine, just an FYI. He had to tune it himself though.

He is on this forum as well, maybe he'll chime in.

Supposedly, according to this article,..........the new EFI systems are somewhat idiot proof to install. I actually like doing this kind of stuff, so now I just have to come up with the money.

Anybody want to buy some hockey gear, and for the right price, I'll throw in the players too............

I read something like that recently. I would like to go EFI on the Jeep, but it's cost prohibitive. Approx $400 for the proper carb sounds better.

If I still had cats, they would try to bury them in the litterbox.

That depends on your wallet. A proper carb or EFI.

The most sand that rolling couch will see is the sand in the parking lot.

It might actually make a good tow rig, I'll have to get you over to help me assemble a hitch under it.

Get it driveable and drive it back and forth to work for two months. (to work out all the gremlins)
Then I'll send it over to B&B for the interior touch ups, then paint.

I went to Finish Master over lunch, to price out paint for the Lincoln.

Looks like if I spray in two steps with a base color, then clear.......it will be about $350
If I just do a 1 step Urethane .......... it will be about $240.

this is just cost for paint hardener activator and clear.

Car craft did a write up on the different EFI setups a few months ago. I can pass it along if you pm me an address and if I can find it, or it might be online.

I was talking to the tech guy at Holley, he was suggesting since the motor is completely stock, that I should go with their Pro-Jection Stand alone system. (about $1500) but I will PM you my address. For that kind of money, I want it to work right.

Although they cost more, I would rather have the newer style "self-calibrating" systems that use a wide band O2 rather than the older systems. Even if you were to tune, it's much easier with a wide band than trying to use the old factory O2s.

Back in 2000, I put Holley Projection 4Di (the one you could tune with a lap top) on my AMC 360. It worked ok, but took some time to get it all tuned in. Another hassle was that it worked through a serial port and the software was old even when I bought it. So I had to keep an old lap top that had a serial port and ran Windows 95 around to make any adjustments. They don't even sell that system any more.

I knew a few people with the version that you could calibrate with the box (2D), and they all complained that they were constantly fiddling with it to make it run right. I don't know if they've made upgrades, but I personally wouldn't deal with those older systems.

In the Projection 2D price point, I think you'd be better off with a Howell TBI kit.
