Don't worry, it's staying in the Flareside. LiL-FF is making sure of it.

Brought her home tonight, we will see what three sets of elbows some mild soap and some buffing compound will do tomorrow.

Could borrow Tim's engine. He won't need it for a few days.

I spent a few hours today detailing it (remove barn dust) and getting the engine running. The engine runs quite well but there is either a blockage in the fuel line or the fuel pump has gone bad. Squirrel got a hold of the insulation on the hood, so I will have to find a replacement.

The hide-away head light covers are now working, too!!!

Cool car but you can keep the 5.5 mpg and no power from that smogged out 460. I don't miss working on cars from that era.

I'm trying to stay close to home for the Mrs. right now. She is still pretty sore, and not traveling well.

Tell me more about this "Sister" set up..............;
  • Is there such a thing already built for sale for this model 460?
  • Is this a bolt on adder, or do I have to modify my existing manifolds?
  • Who has the expertise around here who could give me the run-down?
  • What are we talking? 2-3K? 6-8K?
I'm going to keep this car as original as possible, but I don't mind doing bolt on swaps and storing original parts.

That being said, and the fact that I am an , I don't trust my taste in wheels and tires.
What do you think this needs as far as wheels?

I'm thinking 18 to 20 inch non spoked (solid) rims with a low profile performance tire. The stock rims and tires are black steel rim, with brushed solid aluminum hubcaps, and 235 75 15 Arizona white walls.
I just want street performance and cruseability that looks good. I wont be drag racing or doing burnouts. (I don't think)
