Default Reverse Searing Steaks

I did this last night and it is hands down the best steak I have ever had. I used montreal steak seasoning instead of the salt and pepper though.

That's pretty much how I cook all my beef, but on the grill. Slow and low, then the last min or 2 I crank the heat. It's perfect, every time.

If you do it on the grill (propane) and want some smokey flavor, get an bit of Hickory wood or Oak, chip it up, make a bowl out of tin foil, put some wood chips in it, fill 1/2 way with water and keep it on the top rack. Put that on while the grill is warming up on high.

I try to do it similar on the grill. But have never had one turn out as even as these were. It was the same nice pink all the way through beside the 1/16 or so of an inch that was seared.

Unless your a magician on the grill I'd say this way will be hard to beat. I've gotten similar steaks from the same butcher before and they were dang good on the grill but I'm not sure they were this good. I think you might be a little sad that one was on the grill lol.

Oven / Pan > Grill for even cooking / thick steaks etc.

Except for the smokey flavor. Just depends what you are after.
