Default Sti pistols

I'm thinking about picking up a sti tactical 3.0 in .45 acp. Looking to get some outsides thoughts on this pistol. I've test fired on at the range. I put 50 rounds thru it and it shot nice. Just really don't know my about sti pistols. Thanks.

I have shot a Spartan 5" and really liked the gun. Nice tight fit with no rattle. Was shooting good consistent groups with no problems. Really like the looks of the new duty line and am considering one of my own now. I am drawn to the waffle like checkering on the back of the slide.

Lots of law enforcement were buying them when I lived in Texas. They're a big name down there. Known for very high quality for not much money.

Some friends bought matching 9mm versions, and I know they had to do some "work" to get them singing, but they seemed to like them. Not sure if it was just the 9mm vs .45 thing, but I usually hear good things about them. Also, not sure what the "work" actually was, as these "friends" are giant tool bags I try to avoid deep, detailed conversations with.
