Unhappy So you think your online financial transactions and Banking are safe...think again.

Banking records compromised.

Medical records compromised.

All secure internet connections compromised.

But, as someone said, since you have nothing to hide, you should be ok with it.

They're just trying to tally what they can pilfer once China cuts us off.

I don't have a problem with them developing systems to try and crack the encryption, you bet your ass every country is.

However, injecting flaws into products is complete bullshit. Not only will our government have access to this but eventually other countries/companies/people.

I pretty much assume that any information stored in a system not under my direct control could get compromised.

So of course you store all of your savings and retirement fund under your mattress, right?

x2 That's my primary problem with this. Sooner or later this is bound to end up in the wrong hands.

Insurance companies checking your medical records and denying coverage or skyracketing your rates.

Criminal gangs getting a hold of your banking information would make stealing your money/identity a simple task a child could do it.

They most likely either have their own people working for the encryption companies, or have informants/paid agents that make "secret" back doors. This makes the entire internet less safe as far as financial transactions/internet business is concerned. There is a high possibility that those informants would sell the secret backdoor information to anyone with enough $$.

Of course not. That wouldn't be safe either.

My retirement fund is extremely secure.

It consists of a .38 and a single round.
