Also to keep the varmits out, put metal screens over hot water tank inside the door and fridge hatch/door. Go buy stainless sink stainers at a dollar store and put them on the inside of your inlet/outlet of your furnace on the outside of your trailer. Them fawkers can go right through your furnace. My RV has been in storage outside for the last few years, never have a varmit problem after.

Thanks Jamie I will have to mow tomorrow. And will try the pepper around the landing gear and tires.

XJ I do have slide outs. 2 of them 1 in the bedroom above the hitch 6-7 feet off the ground and a Living room room slide that is about 14' long.

I seen these at herbrucks and they work fantastic in my pol barn.

2" PVC pipe
2" PVC Tee
2" PVC cap

Cut three pieces of PVC pipe 18 to 24 " if you are trying to fit this under something the middle piece can be shorter so you can stand it up under your camper.

Put the three pieces in the tee,

Get "TOM CAT" blocks from tractor supply,

Put them down the center of the Tee put the cap on that end.

The mice go in and eat the blocks, they will be dead on the ground a few feet away.

Dryies them right up.

Do you have a pic of one of them in your barn? I'm not following how it goes together.

Maybe you need to try the lawn chair/12pk/shot gun method.
This sounds like the most fun to me.

On the traps, I had the same problem with the mice eating the peanut butter until I adjusted the set tab to make it trip easier. Just bend the tab more upright so it trips with a lighter pressure. Just be careful when placing them, as some times they will trip just by the jarring when placing them on the floor.

Different kinds of mice different things might work for.
House mice usually find food and eat it.
Field mice/ deer mice store food.
Moth balls are an insecticide so be careful.

This is what has worked for me at times.
Lid like off miracle whip filled with anti freeze. Bucket with enough water that they fall in and can't get out. Anti freeze will make them thirsty. I used this method under mobile homes.
When mice get in my things it's WAR.
I got a cat for my pole barn- he won't go in it. So I have the plastic kind of traps.
Some steal the peanut butter. The last one I got I placed the traps opening to opening, got caught by both!
Plus glue traps.

I use one of these. I have never had a mouse get the peanut butter and make it out alive.

The reason I asked was because a family member came out to camp with a new trailer off the lot and had slideouts just above the wheels. The mice would just walk in on top of the sliding rail system. He towed the trailer back to town after the 1st weekend back to the Dealer and traded it in full of mice

looked like this

Rong.

D-Con makes 'em thirsty, drives out out to find water, and then they die. Sometimes they die on the way to water, but then they die in your walls. They still stink.

Get a cat

If you don't like cats, get over it. Unless you like mice better/dislike them less

Ever watch a cat kill a mouse? If you hate mice, it's very entertaining.

Use a peanut, shoved into the bait hook, on the old Victor traps. Works great for me.
