Post Over heating Blues

With the warmer weather, my amc 401 that I run in my Willys starts to over heat when I sit in traffic to long(215* plus) I'd like to keep it down around 200*-205*. Currently I have a copper 2 row in it(auto trans too)
Monday I ordered a aluminum rad from Summit/it showed up Tuesday, but was not what I ordered, seems the Chinese aren't to good at reading prints to make a rad for a AMC. Called Summit, asked for a refund.
I called up Superior Radiator/mount Clemens Mi. and it will take them a week to make one up from scratch. Just in time for the Woodward Cruise but not for this Saturday for R&V.
I do have a plan B but I don't want to cook my auto tranny. I have a copper 3 row radiator but its for a Manual tranny, "No inner tranny cooler" I do have an external tranny cooler(biggest one I could find/AutoZone special).
That will sit in front of the 3 row rad. With all this said, My question is: will the external tranny cooler be enough, can I run it, HI ways and hopefully some trail use too? If not, ill be stuck driving up with my TJ

Well, good news with Superior Radiator, when I showed up with mine and explained I was hoping on going up to R&V this weekend, they told me they'd try to have it done by noon time tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
