Default need a recommendation for a good transmission shop

I need to get my TH350 freshened up this winter. It's already (supposedly) built for 500HP, but after 3 hard seasons of wheeling, I think it's time to have a look inside.

I'm currently working in Goshen, IN, so anything within an hour drive of here would be great - South Bend, Fort Wayne, Kalamazoo. If nothing that close, Grand Rapids, Chicago, Lansing are all within about 2 hours.

Buy a video and do it yourself, the th350 should be easy. I did a 700r4 last winter it was a breeze. A few low buck special tools is all that's needed.

I would contact Trannytom. The extra distance you will drive will be offset by not paying high dollar shop rates and you will get someone who won't bullshit you.

Years ago I had a trans rebuilt by a neighbor who worked at a trans shop. After a failure, I took it to Bill Maskel. He pointed out all sorts of bad parts my guy had put back in because he worked to normal shop standards.

While I didn't pay or have tom do mine directly, I bought a trans tom did. I have been very happy with it. And he was very helpful with all my questions I had about it.

Michiana transmission in Niles . they have built many transmissions for us and always had good luck. They built power glide that would hold 1200 hp.
