Default 98 ranger says build

Figured I would start a build thread I don't take a bunch of pictures but will do my best.

My plans are 302 swap full width axles 3 link front with coils and eventually coil overs when budget allows. Keeping the rear simple with re arched 63" Chevrolet springs 38's and bead locks when budget allows and a cage

As the Project currently sits I have a 302 sitting in the frame the rear suspension is done minus shocks. The front I have almost everything to do it and its current waiting for me to get time to work on it. On to the pictures

if you do a shackle flip and use the stock arch in the springs you'll get much more flex and better ride. Ideally you should inboard the springs. Then you'll get a lot of flex with minimal height. After all, I speak from experience.. lol

Cool project. Love Ranger builds. What is your transmission and transfer case choice?

Nice looking build. I feel bad for the legs on your fab table; it looks like it skipped leg day.

I originally wanted a aod but I picked up a c6 pretty cheap and I'm thinking I will be building a doubler for it.

Yes the legs are just temporary until I finish the rest of my barn floor and have a permanent place to put it makes it a little lighter and easier to move the way it is

I built a doubler for mine with a 1350 and 1354 case. Just followed the instruction on the ranger station forum. Turned out good. Only broke one intermediate shaft because I put the range box in low and back box in 4 hi. If you need spare fixed yokes I have the flanges in my toolbox.

Picked up some 38.5/14.5/16.5 tsl's on wheels for $200 should get me rolling for a while, also got my lower links all set and welded in placebo the axle and frame. I unfortunately did not get pictures of that. Now I have to figure out the upper link mount and panhard bar

It's a TNT truss and yes it's a 3/4 ton 44 front and a d60 rear for now. Eventually I will finish my 609 rear axle build but I got a good deal on the axles they are from a 78 f250. Only paid $200 for the set complete
